The Modelers Meeting ("Overbrook Station")
Gus Foster presented modeling Overbrook Station, formerly known as "City Avenue Station." Overbrook Station is the oldest railroad station in existence on the Main Line to Paoli. Built in 1858, the main building originally served as a residence and station and remains an active railroad station today. The four elements of the surrounding station area waspresented with multiple modeling challenges explained.  This presentation will soon be posted to the Chapter YouTube page.

Feature Presentation ("PRR & P-RSL Part II; Eastern Fallen Flags") 
Russell Sharp returned with a follow-up to his presentation, given earlier in the year.  Russell began with a photo and narrated journey of the PRR and P-RSL. Starting at Cherry Hill, New Jersey on the PRR and ending at Chicago Union Station, with stops in between these points, such as at Atlantic City and Carneys Point, New Jersey on the P-RSL, the B & O at the Ivy City Engine Terminal and Laurel, Maryland; and the PRR west of Horseshoe Curve from the cab of a helper locomotive and at Valparaiso, Indiana.

The journey continued with Eastern Fallen Flags: Starting at Grand Central Station, Chicago and ending with an Alco RS-1 locomotive at Washington, DC Union Station; with stops in between at locations such as a B & O locomotive cab ride on the Shenandoah, the East Slope of Sand Patch Grade, the C & O at Rainelle, West Virginia, the CNJ at Winslow Junction, New Jersey and a New Haven cab ride approaching South Station, Boston, Massachusetts; with a semaphore gantry in view, plus short lines such as the Ma and Pa and the Meadow River Lumber Company Railroad Camp Cars near Rainelle, West Virginia.  This presentation will soon be posted to the Chapter YouTube page.

The Modelers Meeting ("Using AI for Model Railroad Operations Planning")
Presenter and chapter member Jim Blair discussed Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it can help us improve our modeling. In particular, how AI can help us design prototype operations for our model railroads, help design our layouts, help us plan our equipment roster and develop train consists. The presentation covered how AI is being used to help plan model railroad operations that simulate PRR's Belvidere Delaware Division in 1943.

PRR Electrification - The Keystone of High Speed) 
Presenter and chapter member Chris Jagodzinski covered the history of the mainline PRR electricifcation begining with the DC power for Penn Station and tunnels in New York. Also discussed the transition to the conversion to AC power and the expansion of the system during the 1930's. The presentation concluded with how the electrification has changed over the years and now supports Amtrak's current high speed operation.

Modelers Presentation ("Progress on My PRR Layout - Part II")
Chapter member Tim Garner, High Line and East Wind editor, TKM Art Director and author presented – Tim’s three-level HO layout is two layouts in one featuring Baltimore’s Penn Station circa 1955 on the top level, and the Ft. Wayne line in Ohio circa 1946-1953 on the bottom two levels.

He reported on the design and first five years of construction to the Philadelphia Chapter four years ago (see his 3/5/22 presentation on the chapter’s YouTube channel). A lot has happened in the four years since. As such, Tim spoke to his progress, methods, and lessons learned on Penn Station and environs, plus developments in Crestline and Massillon, Ohio.

Feature Presentation ("All Aboard Cape May, NJ on the Reading Seashore Lines to Chicago Union Station on the Pennsylvania Railroad)  Russell T. Sharp, former Pennsylvania Railroad Chainman and Drexel Institute of Technology student presented.  Russell displayed and discussed photos taken in the 1960s on the Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines and the Pennsylvania Railroad. Includes locomotives, roundhouses, trains and many other things that you don’t see anymore.
